Traditional Toys May Beat Gadgets in Language Development

A recent study published in JAMA Pediatrics found that electronic toys advertised as language learning boosters, are not as effective in child’s language development as more traditional toys.

This could be because parents themselves are less likely to speak and interact with their babies but allow the machines to do most of the speaking.
